A First Year of Design, Service, and Community Impact

In 2021, Stacy Nicole Interiors proudly participated for the first time as a featured Chairity Designer in The Green Chair Project's annual Chairity Auction and Designer Showcase. The event brought together 14 talented interior designers from across North Carolina, each transforming a donated chair into a unique work of functional art to raise funds in support of families rebuilding their lives throughout the Triangle.

Based in Raleigh, The Green Chair Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals and families transitioning from homelessness, domestic violence, foster care, natural disasters, and other life-changing circumstances. By providing donated furniture, home décor, and essential household items, the organization transforms empty residences into warm, welcoming homes where families can begin again with dignity, stability, and hope.

As the CEO and Principal Designer of Stacy Nicole Interiors, Nicole S. Ingram was honored to be selected as one of the featured designers for the 2021 Chairity event. Drawing on her passion for thoughtful, functional design, Nicole transformed a donated chair into a one-of-a-kind statement piece that reflected both creativity and craftsmanship. Her completed design was showcased during the annual Designer Showcase and auctioned to help generate funding for The Green Chair Project's life-changing programs.

The 2021 Chairity Auction was held online from May 20–24, 2021, culminating with an in-person Designer Showcase on May 23, 2021, at Junction West in downtown Raleigh. The event celebrated the creativity of North Carolina's design community while demonstrating how artistic talent can be used to support meaningful causes and strengthen local communities.

For Nicole, participating in Chairity represented much more than designing a beautiful chair. It was an opportunity to use her professional expertise to help create brighter futures for families overcoming significant challenges. The experience reinforced her belief that interior design has the power to improve lives, restore dignity, and foster hope—not only through luxury homes and commercial environments but also through service to the community.

The 2021 Chairity event marked the beginning of Stacy Nicole Interiors' partnership with The Green Chair Project and established a tradition of giving back through design. That commitment continued in the years that followed, reflecting the firm's dedication to community leadership, volunteerism, and purposeful design.
