The best family homes don't announce themselves. They draw you in. Every room says: stay a while.
That was the feeling we designed toward in this Apex, NC luxury home — a full-floor plan where color, furniture, and layout all spoke to each other in one continuous conversation. The clients were a semi-retired couple with two adult children, and they wanted a home that honored the season they were in: peaceful, open, designed for gathering without feeling like a showroom.
The open floor plan was our canvas. We used a cohesive color palette to tie the main floor together so the living, dining, and kitchen areas felt like one seamless space rather than separate rooms. Custom furniture brought character and scale. Carefully chosen window coverings softened the edges and let the North Carolina countryside just outside the windows do its work.
At the center of it all: a round glass pedestal dining table. Elegant, unexpected, and exactly right. It anchors the space while keeping the sightlines open — a quiet statement that says this family values beauty and connection.
Our Residential Interior Design approach is always rooted in how a family actually lives. What they cook and how they eat. Where they gather and where they go when they need quiet. This home was built around all of it.
