Junior Design Intern

Build strong professional habits and foundational design skills through structured studio assignments that support active projects, the materials library, Stacy Nicole Interiors, and Stacy Nicole Home.

Schedule

One or two consistent weekday blocks scheduled around coursework and studio needs.

Location

In person at our Charlotte, NC studio with occasional local showroom or project visits.

Compensation

$16–$19 per hour, based on coursework, skills, and prior experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with sample returns, library organization, basic product and materials research, presentation preparation, and project filing.
  • Support showroom visits, studio organization, installation preparation, and behind-the-scenes project tasks.
  • Assist with product styling, visual merchandising, and content preparation for Stacy Nicole Home when assigned.
  • Follow naming, documentation, brand, and quality-control standards.
  • Complete assigned learning exercises and incorporate feedback.
  • Communicate availability, progress, and questions consistently.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in interior design, architecture, visual merchandising, marketing, or a closely related program.
  • Early portfolio or coursework demonstrating creativity, initiative, and basic design understanding.
  • Comfort with common productivity and presentation tools; drafting, styling, or content experience is helpful but not required.
  • Dependable, organized, receptive to feedback, and willing to support creative and administrative work across Stacy Nicole Interiors and Stacy Nicole Home.
  • Reliable transportation and availability for in-person work in Charlotte.
