I've always dressed the way I design: intentionally, boldly, and always with a thread of island warmth running through it. Fall 2025 is speaking my language.

Here's what I'm seeing—and wearing.

1. Oversized Outerwear with Structure

This fall, the coat is the outfit. Oversized silhouettes with refined tailoring—wool-blend trenches, belted coats, boxy blazers—are doing all the heavy lifting. You throw one on over anything and you're done. Charlotte's transitional fall weather is actually ideal for this: warm enough for a light trench, cool enough to finally justify that long wool coat you've been eyeing.

The Design Parallel: This is the statement chandelier of fashion. Big presence. Everything else plays supporting role.

2. Rich Jewel Tones & Autumn Neutrals

Emerald. Sapphire. Burnt sienna. Deep camel. These are the colors running through every fall collection I'm loving, and they're the same palette I'm pulling into Charlotte interiors this season. There's something deeply satisfying about wearing the room you live in.

6. Layered Accessories

This is where personality lives. The right jewelry, the right belt, the right bag, these are the decisions that take an outfit from dressed to designed. Stack your bracelets. Mix your metals. Wear the thing you've been saving. This season gives you permission.

7. Sustainable Style

What I care about in design, I care about in fashion: longevity. Choosing quality over quantity. Pieces that will still feel right in three years. The sustainable fashion movement has elevated, it's no longer about sacrifice; it's about intention, and intention has always been my foundation.

8. Sustainable & Local Finds

Charlotte’s fashion scene is embracing sustainability with thrifted finds, capsule wardrobes, and support for local designers. Whether it’s a vintage coat from Plaza Midwood or artisan jewelry from a neighborhood market, thoughtful fashion choices never go out of style.
