The number of new construction homes I've walked into where the kitchen tile and the bathroom tile and the flooring all technically "work" but have no relationship to each other is too high.

Lighting plan. Where every outlet, switch, and fixture goes. This is infrastructure, not décor. Getting it right requires a designer in the room when the electrician is.
