I've always told stories. Before I designed rooms, I used spaces to explain things, to myself, to clients, to the people I love. The arrangement of a room, the choice of a color, the texture of a fabric, all of it is language. TriniGal Chronicles is where I translate that language into words.

The name is both biography and philosophy. I am a TriniGalborn in Trinidad, shaped by island culture, by the particular warmth and color and boldness that comes from growing up on an island where everything is a little more vivid than it needs to be. I brought that with me to New York, to Florida, to Georgia, to Maryland, and now to Charlotte. It shows up in every room I design and every thing I write.

Why I Write

Because design is a conversation. And conversations are how I understand the world.

When I write about a project, I understand it better. When I write about a trend, I separate what's real from what's noise. When I write about my life, my children, my moves, my losses, my boxing classes and my yoga mornings and my Chanel skincare and my $4.50-an-hour memories , I remember who I am beneath the CEO title and the design credits.

TriniGal Chronicles is my way of staying honest. And of inviting you into the conversation.
