Design begins with people

Long before a space is styled, it is used. People enter carrying routines, responsibilities, memories, and hopes. My work in philanthropy has made that truth impossible to overlook.

Community service taught me to listen for the needs beneath the request. A room may need better circulation, but it may also need to help a family feel calmer, help a team collaborate, or help a visitor feel that they belong. The strongest interiors respond to both.
